JAJPUR, JULY 25 : The death anniversary of former Rajya Sabha member and Dharmasala MLA Kalpataru Das was observed at Dharmsala in Jajpur district on Sunday, adhering to the Covid-19 protocols.

Eminent speakers and the locals of the constituency recalled the various welfare and development projects carried out by Das in the constituency and paid glowing tributes to him.

Das’s son and incumbent Dharamsala MLA Pranab Kumar Balabantray and others garlanded the statue of the former MLA. Plantation drives and six blood camps were held on the occasion.

Masks and sanitisers were distributed to needy people. More than 1026 units of blood were collected in the camps in which balabantray encouraged the donors. Among honourable guests, MLA Snehagini Chhhuria , Chandbali MLA Byomokesh Ray ,Korei MLA Ashok Kumar Bal, Block chairman Pravat Kumar Balabantaray and Others were present.
