BHUBANESWAR, JUNE 30: On June 21 2016, the International Day of Yoga was celebrated at Lower PMG Sachivalya Marg Bhubaneswar by Odisha Multi Medicus and Alternative Association(OMMAA), Bhubaneswar, under the support of central Council for Research Yoga and Naturopathy(CCNRY), ministry of Ayush,  Government of India.

The distinguished guests who participated in this programme are MLA Bhubaneswar north, Mr Priyadarshi Mishra(chief guest), Mr Ananta Narayan Jena, Mayor Bhubaneswar Municipal corporation, Smt Namrata Chhada, Ex-chair person state women commission, Mr Tejeswar Parida, chairman Odisha Khadi BOARD CORPORATION, Mrs Chinmayee Mishra, Chairman of Mahila Bikash Sambhya Nigam(MVSN), Mr Nisikanta Mohanty chairman capital corporative Odisha, Jagruti Joshi and Sonika Roy, Odia film artist, Madhuri Kinnara and Meghna Kinnara(third gender) chairman Mamata Gharana Charitable trust and Bhubaneswar Kinnara Mahasangha.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting up candel by chief guest and guest of honour MLA had told that “Yoga is the life and we will get physical and mental peace by process of Yoga”.

Mayor told that “Bhubaneswar is the No1 smart city of India and to be smart, we should accept Yoga in our daily life in Bhubaneswar.”

Mrs Chhada told that” This is the special event of Yoga by participation and demonstration of 3rd gender, is a rear example in our country, which will give happiness and inspiration towards practice of Yoga for healthy life.”

As per the protocol of Yoga the third genders had been trained by Dr Khirod Bhari Pani, phycsian Yoga and Naturopathy of OMMAA Bhubaneswar.

The pre celebration Yoga practice camp had been conducted by OMMAA organization at different parks and schools of Bhubaneswar and celebration of Yoga day.

The other organizations participated and co-operated this programme are All Odisha Third Gender Welfare association and Skha, Shaja Yoga, Mamata Gharana Welfare trust, Youth Organisation perpetual Recostructive Intitute for youth activity(priya), Trishakti Mahila Parasada, Satya Nagar ladies forum, Biswanatana Parisada, Shanti Surakhya Abhijan of Bhubaneswar and Netaji Memorial club of Kendrapada. The programme was highlighted due to active participation of 3rd gender group. Meera Parida, Madhuri Kirnara and Meghana Kirnara achived the success by the effort of volunteers of OMMAA Organisation, Dr Mrs Kasturika Satpathy, Dr. Aurobinda Sarangi, Dr Gyatri Das, Dr Sukanti  Satpathy, Dr Sagarika Mohapatra, Dr Aparajita Sahoo and Mr Ramesh Chandra Mishra.
