Andhra Pradesh,Jan 1: Three people were killed while several were injured after a stampede took place at the former Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Sankranti gift program held in Vikas Nagar in Guntur on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the locals alleged that the large number of women came to the program because of the campaigning by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders for past ten days.

In a similar inicident, at least eight people were killed and five others sustained injuries on Wednesday in a stampede Chandrababu Naidu’s roadshow at the Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh.

The incident took place when Chandrababu Naidu arrived in Kandukur.

During the roadshow, a few people fell into a sewage canal. Three people died on the spot due to suffocation, two died while being taken to the hospital and two more TDP workers died while undergoing treatment.
