54th Safety Week concludes at PPA

Paradip,March 13: “Safety & Well-being crucial for Viksit Bharat” as the theme, 54th National Safety Week is being observed by Paradip Port Authority came to an end last evening. In the valedictory function held at Officers’ Club, Shri A.K. Bose, Advisor, Traffic, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He called upon all the stakeholders to avoid near miss cases, analyse the causes and take precaution to eliminate them. Accidents can be avoided if we follow safety norms properly.
Honourary Guest Shri Somasekhar Bajaramath, Asst.Director, Dock safety stated that productivity will increase by incorporating safety norms. We shouldn’t sign off safety as the week concludes, but continue this throughout the year. Shri G. Edison, Traffic Manager was the Guest of Honour, who stressed upon that safety is the core value of PPA and being given Safety as the first priority than productivity.Sri H . S.Rout,Chief Engineer and Dr. B.B. Das, CMO shared the dias.PPA officials and various stakeholders joined the occasion. Safety Rath and Safety Rally have been the major highlights of the week long celebrations.
Thereafter, the winners of various competitions like safety essay, debate and poster competitions organised on the occasion were awarded. Shri Susil Chandra Nahak, CME gave the welcome address and called upon all the stakeholders to make Safety as a teamwork. Shri Manipuspak Sethi, Dy. CME, PPA offered the vote of thanks.
