6 dead, several injured as vehicle rolls down gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar
JAMMU/KASMIR,MAY 24 : 24At least six people were killed, while several others were injured after a vehicle rolled down a deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar on Wednesday.
According to the details, the accident occurred near the Dangduru Dam site, while the vehicle was ferrying 10 workers of the Dangduru Power Project.
Rescue operations at the site were on.
Confirming the accident, Kishtwar Police said, “A cruiser vehicle fell down the valley, and the injured were shifted to a hospital.”

Meanwhile, Union Minister Jitendra Singh also spoke to DC Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, about the accident and said all possible help was being provided.
In April, two Army jawans lost their lives, while three others were injured after an ambulance of the brigade skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
The accident happened at the Keri sector near the Line of Actual Control (LoC).
