79th Independence Day celebrated at VISWASS

Bhubaneswar: The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at VISWASS Higher Secondary School, Pitapalli Campus. The programme began with the assembly of students and staff, setting an atmosphere of excitement and national pride.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Pratima Gharai, Chairman of VISWASS, along with Dr. P.R. Gharai, Secretary; Mrs. Nandini Gharai, Principal, VISWASS +2 Science College; Prof. Ashoka Kar, Principal, Paramedics; Dr. A.K. Bahinipati; faculty members; and students.
The Chief Guest hoisted the National Flag, followed by the singing of the National Anthem in unison, which filled the campus with a sense of patriotism.
Dignitaries delivered inspiring speeches, recalling the sacrifices of freedom fighters and urging students to contribute to the nation’s development. A Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Bijay Ketan Mangaraj, expressing gratitude to all who made the programme a success.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets, leaving participants with cherished memories of the occasion. The event not only highlighted the significance of Independence Day but also reinforced unity, love for the nation, and a sense of responsibility among the students and staff.
