BHUBANESWAR, OCT. 31: As public outrage rises over the sensational murder lady teacher Mamita Meher, an eight-year-old girl from Bhubaneswar has jumped on the bandwagon seeking justice for the family of the deceased’s family.
The little girl named Pihu along with her father on Sunday rode bicycles from her home to Naveen Niwas, the residence of the CM, with placards and submitted a letter to Mr Patnaik.
“In my letter, I have requested the chief minister to take necessary steps to expedite the investigation process into Mamita murder case and give justice to her family members at the earliest,” said Pihu.
“I watch news programmes regularly and observe that every month a girl is murdered in Odisha. Recently, Mamita Meher has been murdered. I feel women in the state are increasingly becoming unsafe. I request one and all to express their concerns over the matter and write letters to the CM to take appropriate and immediate measures,” said Pihu.
“Last time I had also written a letter to the CM Naveen Patnaik seeking justice for Pari, a little girl of Nayagarh who was brutally murdered allegedly by some powerful people. I had then requested the CM to take strict action against the culprits. But, no action has been taken yet. Now, I have written another letter to him demanding justice for Mamita,” said Pihu.
She added that she would write a letter to the Prime Minister if immediate actions were not taken against the culprits involved in the murder of Mamita Meher.
