Malkangiri, March 9, 2023: The Social Welfare Department in Malkangiri organised a grand celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day at the Zilla Porishad Bhawan. The event was inaugurated by Zilla Parishad Chairman Smt.Samari Tangul, and it was attended by several dignitaries from the district administration.

During the event, Collector Malkangiri Sri Vishal Singh felicitated several women who had excelled in their respective fields, including CDPOs, supervisors, Anganwadi workers, and Kishoris. These women were recognized for their outstanding contributions to their communities and for their dedication to their work.

Speaking on the occasion, ADM Sri Maheswar Nayak emphasized the importance of recognizing the efforts of women in various fields and acknowledged their contributions towards the development of society. He also highlighted the need for women to be given equal opportunities and a level playing field in all spheres of life.

The event was attended by several prominent officials, including Dipro Pramila Majhi, DSWO Sasmita Swain, DCPO Narayan Das, and CWC President Ashok Patnaik.

The event was aimed at recognizing the important role that women play in our society and highlighting their contributions. During the meeting, the attendees discussed various issues related to women’s rights and empowerment and shared their insights on how to improve the situation of women in our society.
