Bihar,April,2 :  Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is in Bihar amid tensions that erupted after the Ram Navami procession, lashed out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led state government over the law and order situation. He accused the Bihar CM Nitish Kumar of sitting on RJD leader Lalu Yadav’s lap for his hunger for power.

“The government which has jungle raj’s Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party, can that govt bring peace in Bihar? Nitish Kumar sat in the lap of Lalu Prasad Yadav due to hunger for power, we will uproot the Mahagathbandhan government,” home minister said.

“I was supposed to go to Sasaram but due to unfortunate situations, people are being killed there, bullets are fired and tear-gas shelling is happening. I will come to Sasaram surely during my next visit,” he said.

Amit Shah also said that the doors of NDA are now shut for the JD(U) leaders and appealed to people to maintain peace in the state amid unrest.

“Both Nitish Kumar and Lalu Yadav are living in false hopes. Nitish Kumar’s PM dreams won’t be fulfilled. Whatever happened in Sasaram is very unfortunate. The Jungle Raj in Bihar has returned after Lalu Prasad’s party came to power,” the home minister said while speaking at a rally.

Further in his speech, Amit Shah also said that Congress, JD(U), RJD, TMC opposed the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, while “one fine morning, Modi laid the foundation of a sky-high temple there”.

Amit Shah also tore into the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar for “failing to check” communal violence in Sasaram and Bihar Sharif towns and asserted that rioters will be hung upside down if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government in the state in 2025.

Speaking about the ongoing conflagration, he added, “I pray to God that normalcy returns soon. When I spoke to the governor in the morning, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh became angry and asked why I was bothered about Bihar. I am the Union home minister and Bihar’s law and order situation is my concern as well.”

The home minister arrived in Patna on Saturday evening and put up at a city hotel, where he met state BJP leaders. He was scheduled to visit Sasaram today. However, his visit was cancelled following the imposition of Section 144 in the city due to the communal tensions that erupted on March 31 during Ram Navami procession.

BJP leaders have alleged that Section 144 of CrPC was imposed in Sasaram “deliberately” with the intent to impede Shah’s function, a charge rejected by the Nitish Kumar government.

This is Amit Shah’s fourth visit to Bihar since the BJP got stripped of power in the state in August last year after Nitish Kumar walked out of the NDA alliance to join RJD’s mahagathbandhan.
