Eminent lawmaker Trilochan Kanugo, 83, passes away

Bhubaneswar, April 21: Eminent lawmaker and politician Trilochan Kanungo passed away on Friday morning while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswa.
He was 83.
Kanungo who was elected to the Lok Sabha as a member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Kanungo who was elected to the Lok Sabha as a member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD). He was also elected to Odisha Legislative Assembly thrice.
According to family sources, Kanugo passed away at 7 am.
According to sources, the three-time MLA and one-time MP was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar since March 30.
Kanungo had great authority over economics. His erudite debate in Assembly and Lok Sabha was highly appreciated.
As the news of his demise spread, condolences poured in from all quarters.
