Employment Generation and Skill Development Training Camp Empowers Youth in Swaviman’s Badpadar Gram Panchayat

Malkangiri,01 Aug ,2023 : In an effort to empower the youth and create employment opportunities, the Skill Development and Vocational Education Department of the State Government is actively working on various initiatives. As part of this mission, the Odisha Skill Development Authority, in collaboration with the Malkangiri BSF branch, organized the fifth special camp in Badpadar GP Chitrakonda block of Swaviman region.
The camp witnessed the participation of 142 enthusiastic young individuals from diverse backgrounds. Shri Vinod Sarin, the Commanding Officer of the 88 Bn. Company Operating Base in Chitrakonda, graced the event as the chief guest. During the inauguration, he shed light on the employment opportunities available in industries, as well as the possibilities within the BSF and Army forces. Moreover, he informed the youth about the potential avenues in vocational education after completing the 10th standard.
In an inspiring address, Shri Vinod Sarin encouraged the young participants to consider self-employment by undergoing skill training through government-sponsored Placement Linked Training Programs. The camp provided counseling for recruitment and placement link training programs offered by reputable institutions like CIPET and Gram Tarang.The trainers at the camp left no stone unturned in imparting essential skills to the attendees.
Gracing the event were esteemed individuals such as Dy.Commandant Shri.Subhanjan Mohapatra,Dy Commandant Shri Surendar Singh , District Exployment Officer Mr. Manaswi Sethi, District Youth Officer Shri Harish Rupal, Block Project Manager Shri Somnath Kumbhar,Badapadar Sarpanch Smt.Swapna Khila and Doraguda Sarpanch Smt.Bhagabati Nayak
The camp served as a stepping stone for the youth of Badpadar Gram Panchayat to gain the necessary skills and knowledge required for employment and self-empowerment. By promoting skill development and vocational training, the initiative aims to drive progress and growth in the Swaviman region, ultimately leading to a brighter and more promising future for its young population.
