Brijendra Pratap Singh takes charge as NALCO CMD

Bhubaneswar,Jan.8: Brijendra Pratap Singh has officially assumed the role of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) at the company’s Corporate Office in Bhubaneswar.
Before joining NALCO, Singh served as Director-In-Charge of the Burnpur and Durgapur Steel Plants and was a member of the Board of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
An alumnus of IIT Dhanbad (formerly ISM Dhanbad), Singh holds a degree in Mining Machinery Engineering, graduating in 1989, along with an MBA in Marketing. He began his career in 1989 at the Iron Ore Mine of Bhilai Steel Plant and has since held key positions in operations and leadership across four of SAIL’s integrated steel plants: BSP (Bhilai Steel Plant), BSL (Bokaro Steel Limited), DSP (Durgapur Steel Plant), and ISP (IISCO Steel Plant). His expertise spans mining, Blast Furnace, Sinter Plant, Maintenance, and Plant Operations.
Singh’s leadership is anticipated to drive NALCO’s expansion programs and spearhead the execution of its upcoming projects.
