Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati Visits Paradip Port

Paradip, Feb. 7: The Governor of Odisha, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, visited Paradip Port on Friday afternoon. During his maiden visit to the port, he was warmly received at the PPA Administrative Building by Shri P.L. Haranadh, Chairman of Paradip Port Authority (PPA), along with other senior officials. The Governor was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour by the CISF Unit, PPA.
Adding a special touch to the welcome, a group of NCC Alumni from Port Trust High School’s Naval NCC Wing greeted the Hon’ble Governor with flowers. The Chairman of PPA briefed Dr. Kambhampati on the port’s infrastructural and technological advancements. A subsequent meeting with the Port Management provided further insights into Paradip Port’s future expansion plans, green initiatives, Ease of Doing Business measures, and ongoing infrastructure projects.
Expressing his appreciation, the Governor commended the developmental work at the port and lauded the various infrastructure facilities in place. As a token of gratitude, Chairman PPA presented Dr. Kambhampati with a memento.
During his visit, the Governor also toured the harbour area, gaining firsthand experience of port operations through a launch ride. He later participated in a plantation program opposite Gate No. 3, reinforcing his commitment to making Paradip a cleaner and greener port.
Dr. Kambhampati’s visit marked a significant occasion, highlighting the port’s progress and its ongoing contributions to Odisha’s economic growth.
