Industry–Parliament Dialogue Charts Path for Odisha’s Development

New Delhi, Aug. 9: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Odisha hosted an Interactive Session with Hon’ble Members of Parliament from Odisha in New Delhi, drawing participation from 14 MPs representing various constituencies across the state alongside members of the CII Odisha State Council. The session focused on advancing Odisha’s socio-economic growth through stronger industry & government collaboration.
Discussions highlighted four key priorities — boosting tourism by leveraging heritage and natural assets, promoting agro-based industries to enhance value addition and rural incomes, supporting MSMEs through finance and technology access, and mapping district-wise industrial potential to identify investment opportunities and drive balanced regional growth.
The deliberations underscored the need for coordinated efforts among government, industry, and local communities to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. The meeting saw active engagement from MPs, CII Odisha State Council members, and senior industry leaders, and the session was moderated by Mr Sunil Gupta, Chairman, CII Odisha State Council.
CII reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with policymakers to accelerate Odisha’s economic priorities and promote an enabling investment climate.
