Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), the Navratna CPSE under Ministry of Mines, Govt of India, launched a three-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign at its Corporate Headquarters, in Bhubaneswar, today. The campaign on theme ‘Probity for Prosperity’ was formally inaugurated by Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, NALCO, in the presence of Shri Pankaj Kumar Sharma, Director (Production), Shri Jagdish Arora, Director (P&T), Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, Director (HR), Shri Abhay Kumar Behuria, Director (Finance), Shri Pranabjyoti Nath, IAS, CVO, NALCO and other senior officials of the Company.

The initiative is being undertaken in line with the directives of the Central Vigilance Commission and will focus on capacity building, digital initiatives, and contract management. A series of programmes, training sessions, and competitions are planned during the campaign period to spread awareness among employees, contract workers, stakeholders, and the public, fostering a culture of integrity, transparency and accountability.

Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, emphasized the need for collective action and enhanced coordination among departments to ensure efficiency and compliance with CVC guidelines. He lauded the efforts of the Vigilance Department in strengthening transparency and efficiency in the system. At the outset, Shri Pranabjyoti Nath, IAS, CVO, outlined on the various preventive vigilance activities proposed during the campaign period and explained the importance and rationale behind the campaign. He also welcomed suggestions from all concerned to make the initiative participative and effective.
