7 die as major fire breaks out at two-storey building in MP’s Indore
Madhya Pradesh , May 7 : Seven people died after a major fire broke out at a two-storey building in Swarn Bagh colony in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district in the wee hours of Saturday.
Fire department officials said an initial investigation revealed there was a short circuit in the electric meter, following which, vehicles parked nearby caught fire. The blaze then spread to the building.
Police cracks down on illegal supply and sale of vehicle parts in Indore
Police and fire fighters reached the spot soon after receiving the information. The blaze was doused after three hours of fire fighting operations.
Officers recovered five bodies and rescued five injured people from the building. Those injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
