Gujarat assembly polls to be held in two phases on December 1 and 5
NEW DELHI, NOV 3: The Election Commission on Thursday announced the schedule for assembly election in Gujarat. The state, where the BJP is currently in power, goes to the hosting on December 1.
Assembly polls in Gujarat will be held in two phases. Counting of votes will take place on December 8.
The first phase of polling will take place on December 1, followed by the second phase of polling on December 5.
The Legislative Assembly of Gujarat is 182-members strong. This time, the election will witness a three-cornered contest between the ruling BJP, the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party.
