AM/NS India felicitates 143 upskilled youths successfully placed in reputed companies

Paradip, June 24: Under its skill development initiative “Daksh,” the leading steel maker ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation had set up a Skill Development Centre at Paradipgarh on May 2022 to impart skill development training to the local underprivileged youth. 200 local youths have successfully completed the placement linked IT/ITES training in the first batch.
As many 143 out of the 200 local youths have been successfully placed in various reputed companies such as Tatwa Technologies Ltd, Desicrew Services Kaup Private Limited, AP Industrial Solutions Private Limited, V5 Global Services Pvt Ltd, AIIT Academy and Mahavir Traders among which 70 per cent of the selected candidates are girls.
To celebrate the grand success of the first batch, a ‘Felicitation cum Award Ceremony of Digital Skilling Beneficiaries’ was organised at Paradipgarh. All the students were felicitated by Sri Suresha G, Executive Director, Odisha Operation, AM/NS India.
Present on the occasion were Smt Sasmita Behera, Sarpanch, Paradeepgarh, Sri Debendra Kumar Rout, Sarpanch, Nuagarh, Sri Pramod Kumar Samal, Principal, Govt ITI, Paradeep,Sri Vikas Yadvendu, Head-CSR, AM/NS India, Smt. Suprana Nanda, Head-Corporate Affairs and Sri Shailendra Sah, Head-Capex &Opex.
On the occasion Sri Suresha G said, “I congratulate all the local youths who have been successfully placed after the completion of the course. I admire their determination and perseverance to avail the given opportunities and embark on the path of success. Going forward, we will provide more opportunities to upskill local youths through skill development training programmes which will help them to be industry ready”.
