Annual Festival Organized by Cultural Organization and Dramatic Council of Rajendra University

Bolangir, Mar 12 : The annual festival organized by the Cultural Organization and Dramatic Council of Rajendra University was held on the university campus.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Dr. Pradeepta Kumar Behera,attended the event as the Chief Guest,while noted artist and Padma Shri awardee Kailash Chandra Meher joined as the Chief Speaker.Other distinguished guests included Registrar Haraprasad Bhoi,Director of the Human Resource Commission Dr. Rajkishore Patra, Controller of Examinations Dr.Shyam Bhoi, and Vice-President of the Cultural Council Dr. Sushanta Kumar Panda.
At the beginning of the meeting,Dr. Sushanta Kumar Panda delivered the welcome address and introduced the guests.The program was conducted by university research scholar Som and undergraduate third-year student Pratishruti.
In his speech,Vice-Chancellor Dr. Pradeepta Kumar Behera spoke about how students can enrich and promote their art and culture.Dr.Rajkishore Patra,Director of the Human Resource Commission and Acting Chairman of the Postgraduate Council, inspired students by saying that education should not remain confined to classrooms; knowledge should be broadened through various cultural competitions and literary activities.
Registrar Haraprasad Bhoi highlighted that character building is an inseparable part of education and encouraged students to develop good moral values.Controller of Examinations Dr. Shyam Bhoi advised students to become hardworking and not shy away from effort,motivating them to practice self-assessment.
Chief Speaker and Padma Shri awardee Kailash Chandra Meher,in his address, stated that struggle is the essence of life and that success can be achieved through dedication and hard work.
After the speeches,prizes were distributed to students who excelled in various cultural and literary competitions organized under the Arts and Cultural Council.
On this occasion,Byomkesh Dutta Tripathy,a postgraduate student from the Department of Political Science,received the top award in several literary competitions.
At the end of the meeting,Dr.Gajendra Kumar Pradhan,a member of the Dramatic and Cultural Council and a professor in the Department of Chemistry,delivered the vote of thanks.
Later,students presented various cultural performances including music,dance,and other artistic programs,which were beautifully performed.
All teachers,professors,staff members, students,as well as members of NSS and NCC,actively participated and made the event a grand success.
