Asst. Platoon Commander killed in landmine blast in Malkangiri border area

Malkangiri Odisha 27 March :In a tragic incident, an Assistant Platoon Commander lost his life due to a landmine blast in the Malkangiri border area of Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred at Timenar under Miratur Police Station in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.
According to reports, the Assistant Platoon Commander was part of a team providing security to a road construction project in the area when the blast occurred. The blast is believed to have been caused by a landmine planted by Maoist rebels in the area.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Yadav , a brave and dedicated officer of the CAF. He was a resident of Rajpur village ,Uttar Pradesh.
The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the security forces in the region. The authorities have launched a manhunt to nab the perpetrators behind the heinous act.
Meanwhile, the CAF has expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased and has vowed to take appropriate action against those responsible for the cowardly attack.
This incident once again highlights the danger faced by security forces operating in Maoist-affected areas of the country.
