Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16: Bharat Raksha Manch, a leading forum of intellectuals working for protection of the Hindus in India, on Friday urged the Odisha government for identification of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals who have infiltrated into Odisha illegally and settled in different parts of the state.

Addressing media persons here, secretary general of Bharat Raksha Manch, Dr Ashok Acharya said nearly four to five lakh illegal Bangladeshi nationals, mostly belonging to the Muslim community, and some suspected Rohingyas have settled in different parts of the state. Of them, around 50 to 60 thousands have settled in state capital Bhubaneswar.

“This is a matter of great concern that Rohingyas who are known for their anti-social activities and subversive activities as well as Bangladeshi infiltrators are suspected to have infiltrated into Odisha and started living here for years. Some of them have been found indulging in crimes like theft, dacoity and lifting statues of Hindu deities from temples. They need to be identified and their names be deleted from voters’ list and they be deprived of all government beneficiaries. Such a move will force them to return to their countries,” said Acharya.

Dr Acharya also   sought strong actions against government officials and agents who are helping the infiltrators to register their names as Indian voters and facilitating the issue of ration cards to them.

“There is a deep conspiracy against India. Some fundamentalists have been trying to change the demographic profile of our country. They have been pushing Rohingyas and Bangladeshi Muslims into India in a very systematic manner,” said Dr Acharya.

Bharat Raksha Manch will hold a massive awareness rally in Bhubaneswar on August 23 which will be attended my many distinguished personalities, including former senior defence personnel, educationists, doctors, engineers and students, to put pressure on the Odisha government to identify and deport the Rohingya and Bangladeshi infiltrators settled in Odisha.

Distinguished personalities like Puranjan Padhi, Subrat Mishra, Manoj Acharya, Bidyadhar Nayak, Pramod Dhal and Sudam Satpathy were present at the press conference.
