Malkangiri,18 August,2023 :-Malkangiri Model Degree College hosted a successful blood donation camp, drawing participation from both students and special guests. The event, led by College Principal Dr. Alok Kumar Patra, saw an enthusiastic turnout. Additional District Magistrate Vedabar Pradhan inaugurated the event, emphasizing the cultural value of selfless service.

Mr. Pradhan stressed the relevance of the Vasudeva Kutumbakam principle from Indian culture, advocating for unity and aid within society. He encouraged youth involvement in impactful initiatives like blood donation, underlining its role in saving lives and nurturing altruism.

DIPRO Pramila Majhi, joined as a guest, highlighting how a single blood donation can potentially save three lives. She called upon young people to recognize their societal responsibility and contribute actively.

Dr.Ranjan Kumar Swain, District Youth Red Cross Secretary, took the stage as the main speaker, elucidating the critical significance of blood donation. Following the talks, college students wholeheartedly volunteered for blood donation.

Shri.Nitesh Wadhwani, SP Malkangiri, graced the event as a special guest, not only speaking about the necessity of blood donation but also leading by example through his own donation.Further support came from Additional Superintendent of Police Tapan Narayan Rath, who joined the cause to inspire the students.

The event was efficiently managed by Lab Technician Sujal Kumar Roy, DMA Archana Suar, and the Malkangiri Blood Bank team, contributing to substantial blood collection.

The blood donation camp received generous participation from the college’s dedicated faculty members and the wider community, fostering a sense of unity and social responsibility. Through such collective efforts, the event not only replenished vital blood supplies but also nurtured a spirit of compassion and support in Malkangiri.
