JAJPUR,DEC 12 : Child Labour has been a pressing problem in India. It has been written in several papers that child labour only pushes the economy into another equilibrium. This equilibrium is bad. The other one is also not good for a developing country like India.
The equilibrium consists of children not working; it keeps the economy in the vicious cycle of poverty. The cycle cannot be done away with without the investment if the Government. This investment also has to be substantial. The Government of most developing countries does not have the means to have such colossal investment necessities out before them.
Several households re caught up in the trap of low income. These households do not have a subsistence level of food and provisions to survive with. The parents also work very hard in most cases. However, individual children are often trafficked from these situations. They are sold as bonded labour and made to stay in more stringent conditions.
The situation becomes traumatizing for the children. The parents are also never finding these missing children.Writer Taraprasad MIshra Said Children are always considered next to the pious versions of the Almighty who always strive to inculcate happiness, joy, innocence and hope.
The future of a nation is determined by the way it treats its children and its women, after all, children imply a hope, a hope to strengthen not only the economy of the country, but also to provide the country with skilled human resources who have access to the basic amenities essential for the existence coupled with the tenets of the education in India.Engnieer Purna Chandra dalei Said Industrial sector in India is the largest employer of children below the legal age of 18.
Approximately, over 10 Million children between the age group of 5 to 14 years are working in informal or small industries, including around 4.5 Million girls.
Small enterprises like garment industry, brick kiln, agriculture, fireworks industries, diamond industries etc, constitute some of the largest employer of children. Sometimes such industries operate from homes, making it difficult for the authorities to take appropriate actions.

Children employed in various sectors fail to get necessary education, virtually forced to leading a life of hardship and poverty. It also affects the overall health of a child, as children get exhausted easily and are not physically fit to work for longer durations under difficult conditions.
