CISF Unit of Paradip Port Authority Celebrates 57th Raising Day

Paradip, March 10: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Unit of Paradip Port Authority (PPA) celebrated its 57th Raising Day at the CISF Complex in Paradip with enthusiasm and pride. Shri P. L. Haranadh, Chairman, Paradip Port Authority, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and took the salute from the marching contingents during the ceremonial parade.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Haranadh said that the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for its indispensable contribution to the port’s unprecedented growth and outlined an ambitious vision for its future as a global “Mega Port.” The port achieved a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of approximately 9% over the last four years, doubling the national average. Recognizing that the port’s gates are India’s “economic corridors,” PPA is significantly investing in advanced security infrastructure. Plans are underway for AI-based gate manning, machine learning-linked management, and a QR code system to streamline cargo flow. A state-of-the-art Command and Control Center equipped with over 72 high-definition cameras now provides comprehensive oversight of the entire port area. PPA proposes to increase the CISF strength by 20% and provide additional Quick Reaction Team (QRT) vehicles and modernized barracks to ensure the comfort and effectiveness of the personnel.
Looking ahead, Chairman Haranadh emphasized that the continued collaboration between PPA and CISF is vital for Paradip Port’s transition into a world-class Mega Port. He urged the force to maintain its high standards of transparency and professionalism, ensuring the port remains a secure and efficient engine for India’s economic growth.
The programme was organized under the guidance of CISF Dy. Commandant, Fire Shri Manoj Chauhan. On the occasion, CISF personnel conducted an impressive dog demonstration, showcasing their preparedness and operational capabilities.
