Paradip,June 25: Combined multi agency mega coordination Mock Drill in collaboration with stakeholders, Mutual Aid Responders, District Authority & NDRF 3rd BN. Mundali was organized by CISF Unit, PPA at the main fire station of the Port. Shri P.L. Haranadh, Chairman, PPA graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri Nilabhra Dasgupta, Dy Chairman was Guest of Honour. Site level – III emergency scenario based on collapsed structure search and rescue took place at Marine offshore store near Signal station which occured due to cyclonic storm as thunderstorm struck the workshop which then followed by explosion due to LPG cylinder blast.

CISF Fire wing reciprocated and mitigated the primary crisis of firefighting and evacuation promptly followed by  search and rope rescue and CSSR cum Victim Management. State Fire and Hospital services, district administration and police mutual aid partners IFFCO, PPL, Paradip Refinery and Pipeline, JSW, KICT & IOCL cum BPCL Terminal, and other Stakeholders participated in this sensitization Mock Drill.

Representatives of District Disaster Management Authority as well as Harbour Master and Addl. Assistant Director Dock Safety and representatives of State Fire service, IOCL Pipeline, IOCL Refinery, IFFCO, PPL,, IOCL Terminal, BPCL Terminal, HPCL Terminal, KICT, PICT remained present as Guests of Honor cum observers and also their response units participated in the onsite emergency Mock drill in respect of which tabletop exercise was carried out last evening at the main fire station building of Paradip Port in which Asst. Commandant 3rd NDRF BN. Shri Gaurav Jagnani  addressed and briefed Stakeholders about the importance of resource mapping. Chairman, Shri P.L. Haranadh expressed gratitude to NDRF for their spontaneous response and active participation and assured to implement recommendations of observers. Commandant Shri Akashat Patel  gave emphasis on Gap analysis and appreciated the rope rescue and  CSSR   Management mechanism. Dy.Commadant, Fire, Shri Bishnuswaroop offered vote of thanks. The program was coordinated by CC Fire wing Shri Bhaskar Das and fire prevention in charge Shri Amresh Kumar.
