Constable Susant Haldar of Umerkote Commits Suicide by Hanging from Banyan Tree near Bridgroom’s Village

Malkangiri Odisha 7 April: In a tragic incident, APR Constable Susant Haldar native of Umerkote, Nabarangpur, was found dead by hanging from a banyan tree near the bridegroom’s village MV-42 under Malkangiri police station. Haldar, who was staying in MV-42 since his marriage, was discovered by locals on their morning walk.
According to reports, IIC Reegan Kindo of Model Police Station Malkangiri seized some handwritten suicide notes from Haldar’s pocket and launched an investigation. The contents of the note are yet to be revealed.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the area, with locals and colleagues of the deceased constable expressing their grief and disbelief. Neighbors claimed that they heard quarrel sounds coming from Haldar’s house last night.
