Bhubaneswar, Oct. 9: The visit of the Cyber Rath to the Aditya Birla Public School Bhubaneswar, on Monday marked a significant step in the campaign for cyber safety and securityawareness.

Organized by the team from Commissionerate of Police Bhubaneswar, led by ACP Ms. Anajana Tudu, this event aimed to educate and engage students in various activities related to online safety.

The day commenced with enlightening awareness sessions led by cyber safety experts from the Commissionerate of Police. Principal Mr. L N Dash welcomed the Cyber Rath along with the officials. He stated that the entire community of the school is fortunate to host such event. These sessions were instrumental in providing students with valuable insights into the world of online security. Topics ranged from safeguarding personal information to identifying and mitigating cyber threats. Students actively participated in discussions, asking questions and sharing their concerns.

One of the highlights of the event was the poster making competition. Students displayed their creativity by crafting visually striking posters that conveyed essential messages about cyber safety. The drawing and painting competition added another layer of artistic expression to the event. Participants showcased their talents by creating captivating artwork that underscored the importance of responsible online behaviour.

A thrilling cyber safety quiz challenged students’ knowledge about online security. The quiz covered a wide range of topics, including identifying cyber threats, practicing safe online habits, and safeguarding personal information. The competition rought out the competitive spirit among students, encouraging them to test their knowledge and expand their understanding of cyber safety.

The centrepiece of the event was the Cyber Rath, a mobile awareness unit equipped with interactive displays and tools. Students had the opportunity to explore hands-on exhibits that illustrated various cyber risks. They learned how to identify phishing emails, create strong passwords, and stay safe on social media platforms. The Cyber Rath provided a dynamic and engaging platform for students to apply their newly acquired knowledge.
