Deputy CM Ensures Land ROR Distribution for Bondas, Reviews Bonda Ghati Progress

Malkangiri,Odisha,21.12.2024 -Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parvathi Parida reviewed the distribution of land and common forest titles under the Vasundhara Yojana in Bonda areas like Mudulipada, Baddural, Andrahal, and Madkapadar of Khairput block. She also assessed the lifestyle changes among the Bonda tribe. Bonda women, in traditional attire, welcomed her with the Bonda dance.
Prominent attendees included Chitrakonda MLA Mangu Khilla, Malkangiri MLA Narasingha Madkami and Malkangiri Collector Ashish Ishwar Patil.
Smt. Parida expressed gratitude to the PVTG Bonda women for the celebration and emphasized the government’s commitment to regional development. She assured that Bonda women would receive 100% Subhadra Yojana benefits and announced an additional Rs. 50,000 incentive per house under PMAY. Plans to develop Sitakunda and Amakunda as tourist destinations were also shared.
She directed the District Collector to establish a museum for Banda tribal artifacts, resolve water supply issues, appoint language teachers, and set up a weekly market at Mudulipada. A demand for relocating the Kudumulugumma Block Office was also accepted for review.
