District administration will spend Rs3.99 crores to develop the tribal villages of Mankidia

Jajpur: The district administration of Jajpur has decided to spend Rs3.99 crores out of 870 crores of District Mineral Fund (DMF) to develop the tribal village of Mankadia at Mallarsahi village within Sukinda block.
Around 90 Mankadia tribal families live at Mallarsahi village. We decided to build three roomed Pucca houses for a family, roads, hospital , multi – purpose community center , school, and other infrastructure for them. Under DMF, we will also provide electricity to their houses, said Ranjan Kumar Das the collector of Jajpur.
The collector Ranjan Kumar Das , Dr Kumar Subhashis the team leader of DMF and other officials visited the village Mallarsahi on Tuesday and interacted with local tribal people.
The district administration is committed towards the development of the tribal villages in the district. The government has already launched many development works in the tribal dominated villages in the district . The vast mineral wealth of Sukinda areas in the district is well known in the world. District Mineral Fund (DMF) will be utilized for the developmental works of the Mankadia tribal people of the district within April 2020 . We are also making all the efforts to protect the interests of Mankadia tribals under the Forest Right Act and to provide all types helps to them under several welfare schemes for the tribal and poor people added the collector.
Sukinda MLA Pritiranjan Ghadei said ” Three months back, I directed the district administration to develop the Mankadia dominated village under DMF fund . The authorities have already started building houses for Mankadia families. Mankadia Tribal people have not come to the mainstream and most of them are far from development and education. They are the some of the poorest tribes. But now they will come to the mainstream thanks to the DM”..
