Fire breaks out at dhaba in Greater Noida, no casualties reported
UTTAR PRADESH, MAR 13 : A major fire broke out at a roadside eatery in the Bisrakh area of Greater Noida West, Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. The blaze that erupted at Shere Punjab Dhaba has spread to the neighbouring shops in Gaur City.
Thick black smoke filled the sky as the flames engulfed the restaurant, causing panic in the surrounding area. Upon knowing the fire accident, over half a dozen fire tenders were rushed to the spot. After two hours of efforts, the fire was doused. It is suspected that the blazer was caused by a short circuit. However, the reason for the incident is not confirmed yet.
Confirming no lives were lost in the fire accident, the district fire officer said, “Eight fire tenders were sent to the spot as soon as we received the information. The fire was brought under control. While reasons for the blaze in the dhaba being investigated, a short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.”
The eyewitness, who was in a nearby dhaba, said, “As soon as I came out of the dhaba, I could see a massive fire. Within 15 minutes, the surrounding areas also caught fire.”
