Fire breaks out on Secunderabad-Agartala Express train in Odisha’s Behrampur station, doused
Berhampur,June 6 : A fire broke out in one of the coaches of the Secunderabad-Agartala Express train on Tuesday, which created panic among passengers onboard. The passengers deboarded at Berhampur railway station in Odisha after smoke was detected.
The blaze broke out in the B-5 coach of the train. Passengers noticed the smoke coming out of the AC coach when the train stopped at Berhampur railway station.
Fire officials rushed to the spot after they were informed of the fire by the railway officials. The fire was brought under control after 45 minutes.
The train departed from the station after the fire was doused.
The incident came days after 278 people were killed and over 1,100 people injured in a three-train collision near Baharanga Bazar station in Balasore district on June 2.
