Five-Day Health Camp Inaugurated in Malkangiri, Focuses on Acupressure and Magnetic Therapy

Malkangiri, September 20, 2024 – A five-day health camp offering Acupressure, Magnetic Massage, and Natural Therapy treatment was inaugurated today at Maheswari Bhawan,Malkangiri sponsored by the Maheswari Samaj, the camp aims to offer drug-free treatment for various ailments such as knee pain, asthma, headaches, high blood pressure, and diabetes.
During the inaugural session, Addl. SP Tapan Narayan Rath, the chief guest, lauded the initiative. Sub-Collector Duryodhan Bhoi, the keynote speaker, emphasized the effectiveness of acupressure in treating chronic conditions without medication. The camp is being conducted by experts from Sri Acupressure and Magnet Therapy Treatment Sansthan, Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
The camp charges a nominal registration fee of ₹100 for five days, providing 15-20 minutes of therapy daily. Suresh Somani, President of the Maheswari Society, presided over the event, with Ranjan Kumar Swain, host of the District Youth Red Cross, attending as the guest of honor. Both expressed optimism about the positive impact the camp will have on the local community.
The event was made possible with the support of local patrons, including Kamalta Bari, Rajeev Dargar, and Dilip Somani.
