Bhubaneswar, Oct.14: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), the country’s leading fully integrated producer of value added ferro chrome is recognised by the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI) with the prestigious “Hindustan Zinc Health & Safety Award 2019-20” for its Mahagiri Mines (Chromite).

Mahagiri Mines (Chromite) got the award for best Occupational Health and Safety performance in Underground Mines category.

On behalf of IMFA, Shri Sanjeev Das, Senior VP & Head-Mines Busines Unit received the award from Shri Anil Kumar Jain, Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Mines & Coal, at FIMI office in New Delhi in a virtual function held on 14^th October, 2020.

Commenting on the development Shri Subhrakant Panda, Managing Director said: “We take great pride in our Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) initiatives and recognitions such as this award go a long way in motivating the team. I am grateful to the Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of Mines & Coal and FIMI for this recognisation.”
