Half-day in central government offices, institutions on day of Ram temple opening
Uttar Pradesh,Jan 18 : The Centre on Thursday announced a ‘half-day’ for all central government offices, institutions and industrial establishments throughout India on the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony that is scheduled for January 22.
“The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January, 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all Central Government Offices, Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments throughout India will be closed for half day till 14:30 hours (2:30 pm) on 22nd January, 2024,” said a government press statement.
“All Ministries/ Departments of the Government of India may bring the above decision to the notice of all concerned,” the statement added.
Apart from the central government, many states have also announced holidays to celebrate the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government declared a holiday for all schools and colleges in the state on January 22 in view of the Ram Temple inauguration.
Notably, Ayodhya is getting decked up for the “Pran Pratishtha” of the Ram Mandir on January 22 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Yogi Adityanath and other special invitees, are set to attend the mega event.
Over 7,000 people are on the invitee list of the temple trust, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, including politicians, Bollywood celebrities, cricketers, industrialists and more.
