Puri, May 21: A large number of jellyfishes were on Monday found at Chilika sea mouth triggering scare among the tourists and fishermen here.
Reports said the local fishermen who had on Sunday spotted hundreds of jellyfishes near Nanganashi Mouth of Chilika on Sunday morning also found the marine species on Monday morning.
The number of the sea fishes increased during the daytime at the sea mouth.
The tourists visiting the spot complained of itching on the body and palm while holding those out of curiosity.
More than a week ago, hundreds of poisonous jellyfishes known as ‘Blue Button Jellyfish’ or ‘Porpita porpita’ were found dead at sea beach in Puri.
