In a different role: Lady IAS officer wins many hearts through her Kathak performance at Odisha festival

Bolangir,Jan.16: Aboli Naravane, a lady IAS officer presently serving as Sonepur (Subarnapur) district collector in Odisha, has proved that she is not only a brilliant mind but also an exceptional dance talent. Her performance at Subarnapur Lok Mahotsav has won her many hearts.
The self-confessed dance and fitness enthusiast Aboli shared glimpses of her dance steps that have now taken social media by storm.
Taking to her Twitter handle, she wrote, “Glimpses of my performance on the song ‘O Ri Chiraiya’ on the occasion of Subarnapur City Festival and Lok Mahotsav. The theme was Prevention of Child Marriage and sending girls back to school. Dance style Semi Classical (Kathak).”
Since being shared online, the video has amassed a whopping 14.4K views and counting. Social media users cannot help but praised the Collector for her amazing dance moves.
“Wow, this is just beautiful… I used to perform Odissi and Sambalpuri and this is so inspirational. Every art form can make a positive impact on society. May Maa Samlei bless you with so much love and happiness,” commented a user.
Another user wrote, “Watched your performance. It was amazing. You are a true inspiration for many youngsters. I have never heard any District Collector performing at a city festival. You are doing everything to connect with people at the grassroots.”

Aboli, the 2015 bath IAS officer of Odisha cadre, is known for her never-say-never attitude. Hailing for Pune in Maharashtra, the former ADM of Rourkela is currently posted as the District Collector of Subarnapur (Sonepur).
Aboli had briefly joined as an IRS officer. However, the iron-willed woman finally became an IAS officer on her third attempt. She is a self-confessed die-hard fan of the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar.
