INDIA bloc ally’s father murdered at Bihar home, body mutilated
BIHAR,JULY 16 : Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani’s father, Jitan Sahani, was murdered on Tuesday in Darbhanga, Bihar.
According to the details, Sahani was killed inside his home, from where his body was recovered in a mutilated condition.
The incident was confirmed by Darbhanga Superintendent of Police (SP), Jagunath Reddy.
Wimbledon 2024However, a Special Investigation Team (SIT), comprising the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) and the Station House Officer (SHO) was formed to probe the case.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Sahni, who was in Mumbai, left for Darbhanga after being informed about his father’s murder.
In a video message, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, assured of quick action and justice in Jitan Sahani’s murder case.
Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in an X post said he was shocked to hear the news of Jitan Sahani’s murder.
“I demand from the state government that the culprits should be arrested immediately and a speedy trial should be conducted. My party and I are with Mukesh Sahni ji in every way in this hour of grief,” a rough translation of his post in Hindi suggested.
Commenting on the incident, Janata Dal (United) spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar termed the incident “unfortunate”.
He also said the police were working to arrest the accused.
No arrests were made in the case so far.
