Cuttack: People of Odisha are not apparently happy over Viacom 18 has eliminated Odia commentary in its Jio Cinema platform this year. Viacom 18 aired 12 Indian languages in the commentary team, including Odia in 2023 but this year Viacom 18 authority has eliminated Odia commentary without any valid reasons.

People who are not acquainted with English and Hindi they used audio and video of IPL matches by downloading Jio Cinema app in their smart phone.

Some intellectuals maintain that Odia being a classical language, Viacom 18 should have provided Odia people the opportunity of listening Odia commentary on Jio Cinema platform. It’s understood that Viacom 18 has included Haryanvi language this year.
