JSPL Observes 72nd Republic Day

Angul, Jan. 27: The mega integrated steel plant of Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) situated at Angul observed the 72nd Republic Day by following all the COVID guidelines. Executive Director of the unit Mr. Hridayeshwar Jha, unfurled the National Flag in presence of Mr. Damodar Mittal, President; Mr. Ravi Shankar, Head-HR&ES; Mr. Chandacharan Das, Principal, O.P. Jindal School and various other departments heads, community members and students of O.P. Jindal School.
After unfurling the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, Mr. Jha received Guard-of-Honour from the Security and readout the message of JSPL’s Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal. In his message, Mr. Jindal has made an appeal for considering observation of National Flag Day on 23rd January. “Being, largest democracy of the World, there should be a Day dedicated to our National Flag, which is our symbol of Unity in Diversity. January 23, on which we all Indians got the right to fly the National Flag all around the year by following the Flag Code guidelines, it should be the best date for this. We may name it as Tiranga Diwas”. Mr Jindal also proposed to observe ‘Tiranga week ‘ starting from 23rd January, which will inspire all the citizens to deeply relate with the National Flag.
At the end Mr. Jha and Mr. Mittal distributed awards to the security team for their contribution. Several successful students of O.P. Jindal School were also felicitated for their achievements. The students were Miss Subha Nimbal, for securing 3275 rank in IIT-JEE (Advance) 2020, Miss Shruti Bastia for securing 7300 rank in NEET 2020, Miss Sohani Sushree for securing 7373 rank in NEET 2020, Master Aniket Sojitra for getting 681 rank in CLAT 2020, Master Sohum Sahoo for achieving National Bal Shree Sanman for Instrumental Music and Miss Srishti Suta for Creative Art.
Similarly O.P. Jindal Community College at Angul and DAV Savitri Jindal School situated at Badamahitala also observed the Republic Day at their respective premises.
At JSPL’s Bhubaneswar Office, Mr. Prashant Hota, President & Head (Group CSR & Sustainability) unfurled the national flag, addressed the employees and read out the message of JSPL’s Chairman Mr. Naveen Jindal.
