Kalam Memorial Charitable Trust organizes competition programme
Students Bring Kalam’s Dreams to Life Through Colours and Knowledge

Balasore, Sept. 8: On the occasion of the national-level birth anniversary celebration of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, the great scientist, former President of India and popularly known as the “Missile Man of India,” the campus of Balasore Art and Craft College turned into a vibrant platform of knowledge, creativity and patriotism.
A national-level Quiz and Drawing Competition was organized, in which talented students from different places participated enthusiastically.
The programme was inaugurated by Additional District Magistrate of Balasore Tapan Khuntia, District Education Officer Dr. Basanta Kumar Nayak, President of the Kalam Memorial Charitable Trust and Additional Director of ITR Dr. Niladri Ray, and Principal of the college Nikunja Bihari Das, who jointly lit the ceremonial lamp before Lord Jagannath.
The Quiz Competition focused on Dr. Kalam’s life, his scientific vision, contribution to education, inspiration for the younger generation and his philosophy of dreaming big, transforming dreams into goals and working hard to achieve those goals.
On the other hand, the Drawing Competition provided students with an opportunity to express their creativity through colours. The participants beautifully portrayed Dr. Kalam’s personality, India’s development, science and technology, the power of youth and his dream of a “Developed India.” The paintings were not merely expressions of colour and art; they reflected the dreams and aspirations of the young generation for the future of India.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Jena, Founder of the Trust, Editor of Agnidena science magazine, World Record Holder and educationist. He also highlighted the life, ideals and vision of Dr. Kalam.
The speakers said that Dr. Kalam was not merely a scientist; he was a living symbol of hope, dreams and achievement for the youth of India. His life continues to inspire millions of young people to dream big, work hard and contribute to the development of the nation.
The organizers stated that the primary objective of such programmes is not merely to conduct competitions, but to encourage students to dream big, develop creative thinking, work for the nation and build a strong and progressive India.

The national-level event has created a new chapter of knowledge, art and patriotism in Balasore by taking Dr. Kalam’s ideals closer to the younger generation.
The programme was successfully managed with the active cooperation of Engineer Gopal Chandra Jena, Chartered Accountant Sanjib Kumar Nayak, Upendra Behera, Indrajit Patra, Satya Narayan Sahu, Dr. Sangram Kumar Rout, Dilip Kumar Nayak, Hemanta Brahera, Bijay Kumar Saw,Jitendra Mahalik, Balaram Sa, Suchitra Jena, Shubhashree Mishra, Bichitra Pradhan, Damayanti Mahapatra, Rajeshwari Panda and Dayananda Satapathy.
