Bolangir, Nov. 23: At least three youths were reportedly killed after being hit by a moving goods train near Khuntapali level crossing in Odisha’s Sonpur district on Monday evening.

The mishap occurred when the youths, all in their early twenties, were walking on the railway track and listening to music from mobile phones on their earphones.

The villagers suspect that since the youths were putting on the earphones, they could not hear the sound of the fast approaching train.

The slain youths were identified as Gagan Seth, Sana Seth and Aditya Biswal.

Upon being informed by the locals, the Government Railway Police (GRP) rushed to the spot and recovered the mutilated bodies from the railway tracks, reports added.
