Malkangiri Celebrates 75th Republic Day with Grandeur at DNK Playground

Malkangiri ,26th January,2024:-Malkangiri celebrated the 75th Republic Day with fervor at the DNK playground today. The event saw Collector and District Magistrate, Mr. Vishal Singh, as the chief guest, who unfurled the flag, joined by Suptd of Police Mr. Nitesh Wadhwani.
During the celebration, the Collector emphasized the global appreciation of India’s democratic values and urged everyone to uphold this tradition. He paid tribute to the architects of the Constitution, including Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and others. Additionally, homage was offered to national heroes like Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, and Sardar Ballabhai Patel.
Addressing development initiatives, the Collector highlighted the significance of an airport in promoting communication, tourism, and trade in Malkangiri and neighboring areas. The state government has allocated Rs 158 crore for constructing 172.53 km of roads in inaccessible regions, with an additional Rs 7.9 crore for tourism infrastructure development.
The Republic Day parade honored outstanding teams, successful students, and individuals excelling in various fields. Notable attendees included Chief Development Officer Ratnakar Sahu, ADM Vedabar Pradhan, and ADM Trinath Majhi, among others. The event showcased the commitment to democratic values and progress in Malkangiri district.
