Malkangiri,October 08,2023: – In anticipation of the much-anticipated launch of the “Lakshmi” scheme by Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik in Malkangiri district on October 12th, a special preparatory meeting was convened today. This significant event was organized under the direction of State Biju Janata Dal Organization Secretary, Mr. Pranab Prakash Das (Bobby Bhai), and was chaired by President and former MLA, Manas Madkami, at the Malkangiri Municipality Town Hall.

The gathering drew notable personalities from the BJD, including State BJD Organizational Secretary Prakash Kumar Mohanty and Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi. These leaders joined hands to strategize and ensure the successful launch of the “Lakshmi” scheme, the first of its kind in Malkangiri district.

Malkangiri district BJD has left no stone unturned in its preparations for this landmark event. Officials have been tasked with ensuring a smooth and peaceful launch of the “Lakshmi” Yojana by the Chief Minister. One of the key features of this scheme is the provision of bus services connecting the Panchayats to the capital, with over 1,000 buses to be deployed for this purpose, supported by a government expenditure of ₹3,178 crore. This initiative is expected to usher in significant social and economic growth for the people of the region.

Among the distinguished guests attending the preparatory meeting were Chitrakonda MLA Purna Chandra Baka, SDC Chairman Adma Raba, District Executive President Durga Tripathi, Jaga Mission Hari Bhai, Senior Advisor Rajendra Panda, District Vice President Nrusingha Charan Mohanty, and District General Secretary Prabhakar Pradhan and ZP Chairman Samari Tangul, District Women President Lakshmi Priya Naik among others.

In addition to party members, elected representatives from Panchayats and Municipalities, and leaders from various front organizations and cadres, also attended the event, reaffirming their commitment to the success of the “Lakshmi” scheme and its potential to transform the lives of the people of Malkangiri district.
