Bhubaneswar, March 29: The Aditya Birla Public School in Bhubaneswar recently organized a Mega Fun and Fitness Activities, which started on the 13th of March 2023 and ended on the 29th of March 2023.

The event aimed to promote physical fitness, healthy living and team spirit amongst the students. A cultural programme was also organized as a part of the event, with Mr. Raman Rattan Rout, a renowned fitness coach and the winner of various prestigious titles in bodybuilding and fitness and Thailand Pro Men’s Gold 2023, serving as the chief guest.

The event was organized under the guidance of the school’s principal, Mr. L.N Dash.

The Mega Fun and Fitness Activities event was held in the school sports-complex and was attended by sixty students from different grades and classes. The event was organized in a camp-like format, allowing the students to participate in various activities over the course of the two weeks. The activities included outdoor sports like cricket, football, basketball and lawn tennis, as well as indoor activities like yoga, aerobics, and dance. The students were also given fitness challenges to complete, which included push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. The activities were designed to be fun and engaging, while also promoting physical fitness and healthy living.

The school has not only focused the physical activities but also emphasized the intellectual development of the students. In this connection each student was asked to read a book during their leisure time and later they were facilitated to exchange their views and experience through group discussions. The school also organized an educational trip to the Regional Science Centre, Bhubaneswar on 20th March 2023. Under the guidance of Mr. Sathapathy, the head of Education, Regional Institute, the students explored various dimensions of science and technology of the modern era. They learnt and experienced many things about science and technology.

The cultural programme, as a part of the event, was a huge success. The students showcased their talents in music, dance, and mime, and the performances were well-received by the audience. Thanking the Group Advisor of Education, Aditya Birla Group, Dr. S Ganguli, Principal Mr. L.N Dash stated that the school is committed to promote excellence through determination and hard work. This fitness camp is one of those commitments that the school wishes to fulfil for the students. Referring to twentieth century learning skills, Mr. Dash added that each student should be robust not only in the psyche but also in their physic. Mr. Raman Rattan Rout, the chief guest, also delivered a motivational speech, encouraging the students to lead healthy and active lifestyles. Later, all the students were given participation certificates and biographies of different eminent personalities.

The programmewas a huge success as all the parents appreciated the efforts put up by the students and the staff members. It provided the students with a fun and engaging way to promote physical fitness and healthy living while fostering teamwork and camaraderie. The cultural programme added a creative dimension to the event and provided an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents. The presence of Mr. Raman Rattan Rout, the renowned fitness coach, added to the event’s success by serving as a source of inspiration for the students. The programme was well coordinated by Mr. N Sahu, the admin officer, Ms. Regina Singh, Ms. Namrata Gupta, Mr. Gyaneshwar Pandey, Mr. Laxman Verma and a team of teachers. It is hoped that such events will continue to be organized in the future to promote a positive school culture and encourage students to lead healthy and active lifestyles.
