 Jajpur , APR 7 :  2012-batch IAS officer Nikhil Pavan Kalyan on Thoursday  joined as the new Collector of Jajpur district. He replaced Dr Subhankar Mohapatra . Soon after joining his responsibility. . Before joining the office, Mohapatra visited the famous Biraja temple here and offered prayer to the Goddesses from outside the temple and took blessings of the goddess.

He said that he would give equal priority to the urban, rural and tribal areas development. He said it would be possible with the cooperation and coordination with the officials of the district and said that he would be available for the public and would focus very much on the implementation of government welfare schemes.
