BHUBANESWAR, JAN. 20: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday stuck posters of four hardcore Maoist leaders on the walls of Koraput bus-stand in Odisha seeking information about their whereabouts.

In the posters, the central probe agency announced cash prizes for the informants while assuring to maintain complete secrecy about their identities.

The four Maoists whose posters were found affixed on the bus-stand walls include Jalumari Srinu Babu alia Sunil, Khilo Ranju, Gajarala Ravi and Meturu Jaga Rao. The rebel leaders, according to NIA sources, are active in multiple states, including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

According to reports, Jalumari Srinu, son of Jalmuri Somaiah of Dabapalem village Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district, has many cases of assault on security personnel in different states.

Khilo Manju alias Chhati, son of Khilo Manju of Kada Guma village in Odisha’s Malkangiri district, is active in multiple states and involved in many cases of Maoist violence.

Gajarala alias Ganesh alias Uday belongs to Warangal district of Telangana and Meturu  Jaga Rao hails from Bathupuram in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh.

The NIA has reportedly registered a case against the four Maoist leaders in connection with a murder of a Border Security Force (BSF) officer in 2012.

The NIA has announced Rs 10 lakh prize money on Gajarala Ravi’s head, Rs 5 lakh prize each on Jalumari Srinu and Meturu Jaga Rao. Similarly, it has announced Rs 3 lakh prize money for information on Khilo Ranju.
