Malkangiri ,26 July 2023- The Nirmaan Shramik Kalyaan Yojana Sahaayata Bantana Sibira, a government-led initiative aimed at supporting and empowering workers, was successfully held in Mathili block of Malkangiri district today. Despite heavy rainfall, the event witnessed an overwhelming response from the community, with 354 workers in attendance.

The esteemed gathering was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including Hon’ble MLA Sri Purna Chandra Baka, Sri Bighnaraj Kirsani, Chairman of Khairput block, Sri Ranjan Pangi, Samiti member of Khairiput block, Sri Balraju Kope, Samiti member of Mathili block, and Sarapanch of Mathili GP. Their presence added to the significance of the event, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the welfare of its workers.

During the event, various benefits were distributed to deserving individuals in recognition of their contributions to the community. The benefits extended included 17 death benefits, amounting to a total of 33,00,000 INR, offering crucial financial support to the families of deceased workers. Additionally, funeral assistance was provided to 17 families, totaling 85,000 INR, to help them during their difficult times.

Further, the government bestowed two marriage benefits, totaling 1,00,000 INR, to encourage matrimonial alliances among the workers. Four maternity benefits, amounting to 40,000 INR, were distributed to support expectant mothers and ensure the well-being of both mother and child.

Education, being a crucial pillar of progress, was also emphasized through the distribution of six education assistance packages, totaling 41,800 INR. This move is expected to pave the way for a brighter future for the children of the region.

In addition to these financial aids, 168 BOC identity cards were distributed during the event, providing workers with official recognition and access to various welfare schemes and opportunities.

The Nirmaan Shramik Kalyaan Jojana Sahaayata Bantana Sibira served as a testament to the government’s dedication to uplifting the lives of its workers and fostering an environment of growth and prosperity in the region.
