No improvement in Raju Srivastava’s health, says family member
New Delhi , Aug 13: Raju Srivastava’s fans keep praying for him as the comedian battles his life. He is currently admitted to Delhi’s AIIMS hospital after he suffered a heart attack on Wednesday, August 10.
The comedian’s family had earlier issued a statement where they have informed everyone that Raju Srivastava is stable and have asked to pray for his speedy recovery.
Although Raju Srivastava’s brain is not functioning properly and he is still under observation, he has shown slight movement. The latest update suggests that there is no improvement in his health, as told to IndiaToday.in by a family member.
To pray for the speedy recovery of Raju Srivastava, his family members went to the Gurdwara in Delhi. Prashant, who is the comedian’s brother-in-law of, informed that all the family members are present in AIIMS. Raju’s condition is the same as it was before. There was some improvement in his health yesterday. Raju Srivastava’s younger brother, Kaju, is also admitted in Delhi.
Meanwhile, in a statement to PTI earlier, Raju Srivastava’s business manager said that there is not much improvement in his health. The comedian continues to be on a ventilator. “He is not in a conscious state. There is not much improvement in his health. His brain is not working.
Doctors are saying wait and watch. Pray for his speedy recovery,” he said. As per the same PTI report, Raju Srivastava is being treated by Dr Nitish Naik, a professor in the department of cardiology at the AIIMS.
The 58-year-old stand-up comic was admitted to the hospital after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday and later underwent angioplasty.
Meanwhile, Raju Srivastava’s family has issued a statement. They have shared the comedian’s latest health update and asked everyone to pray for his health and not believe rumours. “The message read, “Dear all Raju Srivatava ji’s condition is stable. We are praying for his speedy recovery. The doctors are treating him and are doing their best.
Thanks to all the well-wishers for their continued love and support. Please ignore any rumour/fake news being circulated. Please pray for him (sic),” read the message.
Actress Sambhavna Seth took to social media to share that she in touch with Raju Srivastava’s family and also posted their statement. Taking to Twitter, Sambhavna wrote, “Hey Everyone..I am very much in touch with Raju ji s Family..Spoke to his Wife and he is showing signs of improvement..lets all pray for his speedy recovery instead of spreading false news #RajuSrivastava (sic).”
On August 12, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to Raju Srivastava’s wife, Shikha, over the phone.
He assured her of full help in his treatment. BJP General Secretary Sunil Bansal also arrived at AIIMS to speak to Raju Srivastava’s wife and family. Sunil Bansal made Raju Srivastava’s wife talk to BJP President JP Nadda on his phone.
Raju Srivastava is a popular comedian who has been a part of several comedy shows. Srivastas was a part of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Circus, The Kapil Sharma Show, Shaktimaan and others. The comedian also featured in Bollywood films like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Tezaab, Baazigar and more. He was recently seen as a special guest on India’s Laughter Champion.
