O.P. Jindal School, Angul Celebrates Teachers’ Day with Enthusiasm

Angul, Sept. 5 : O.P. Jindal School, Angul celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and respect. The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, Mr. Damodar Mittal, Executive Director (Projects), Jindal Steel, Angul and Vice Chairman of the School Management Committee.
He was joined by other dignitaries, including Col. Sudeep Majee, Vice President (Administration), Jindal Steel, Angul; Col. Manas Khadanga, General Manager (Administration); Mrs. Seema Malhan and Mrs. Anita Mittal, Presidents of Jindal Mahila Samiti; along with the Principal, Vice Principal, Senior Mistresses, teachers, and staff.
Principal Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sahu paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and highlighted the importance of the teaching profession. Students showed their appreciation through a welcome song, poems, and a speech. The event also featured lively dance performances by both teachers and students.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation ceremony, where teachers and staff were honoured for their dedication. In his speech, Mr. Mittal praised them as “true nation-builders” who inspire young minds with knowledge, values and innovation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Dash. With the kind patronage of Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. Shallu Jindal and the Jindal Foundation, the school remains committed to providing quality education and nurturing responsible citizens.
