Bhubaneswar,Nov 28: The Odisha CSR Forum, a non-profit, non-political registered trust, engaged in promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Odisha. Today Organized Odisha Ideas Leadership Summit & Odisha Idea Excellence Awards – 2023” along with three Panel Discussion relating to emerging thrust areas for fostering innovation, collaboration and sustainable development in the region in Mayfair Convention, Bhubaneswar on 25th November 2023.
The Odisha Idea Leadership Summit 2023 is a platform that aims to harness the power of ideas and collaboration to address the challenges and opportunities in the areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainable development, and community engagement. The summit will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions designed to inspire, educate, and empower participants.
Justice Satrughna Pujahari, Hon’ble Chairperson, Odisha Human Rights Commission graced the function as the Chief Guest, and Sri Prashant Hota, President, JSPL as Chief Speaker and inaugurated the Summit along with Sri B K Mishra Convener, Odisha CSR Forum.
As a part of seminar 3 panel discussions have been conducted where 4 moderators from different diversified areas discussed on the theme “Development challenges in Odisha – Corporate Responsibility & Ideas to count on” “The Skill story – the New Horizon of Odisha” and “Building New Odisha through Youth Empowerment”. A total of 150 delegates from Corporate, reputed NGOs, Educational Institutions, Civil Society Organizations, Thinker & Decision Makers, Environmentalists, Administrators, Judges, Development Sectors, Economists & Agriculturists participated in this seminar.
Speaking on this occasion, Sri B.K. Mishra, Convener of the Odisha CSR Forum said that this summit is designed to bring together an eclectic assembly of leaders and youth spanning the realms of business, government, academia, civil society organizations, non-governmental organizations, and the social entrepreneurship sector. The primary objective of this gathering is to deliberate and showcase inventive solutions aimed at addressing some of the most formidable challenges facing Odisha.
During the Summit, 09 companies OSL, PPL, OMC, Vedanta, IFFCO, JK Paper, Dalmia Cement, JSPL and OHPC were felicitated & honored by the Honorable Chief guest for their outstanding contributions in their CSR & Peripheral Development activities.
Odisha Idea Excellence Awards – 2023” were conferred on 09 corporate such as TPCODL, GKEL, Vedanta Lnjigarh, NAMM, NECO, AGF, TPNODL, Dalmia Cement and NTPC as a mark of recognition for their remarkable work that have made positive impact on the society through their innovative and sustainable CSR initiatives.
He further said that it is their fervent belief that this event will serve as a powerful catalyst for innovative thinking and a harbinger of positive change. Their ambition is to inspire and empower both individuals and organizations to take action, thereby setting in motion a cascading effect of constructive change, not just within communities but far beyond.
